Kodrina Housing Complex

Benedetta Tagliabue -EMBT & OUD+Architects were one of the five shortlisted practices in the international competition for the design of the Kodrina neighborhood.

Our design proposal, which was heavily inspired by local architecture and tradition, is a hybrid multi-layered solution to this large complex located in the Mati neighborhood, south Prishtina. The vast complex composed on 9 large blocks foresaw a mix of housing, commercial spaces, stores & offices, social amenities, such as an ambulance, kindergarten, primary and high school, as well as recreational and green spaces throughout the site.
